Rebounding & Exercise

Rebounding

Rebounding is simply the act of bouncing on a mini-trampoline. It is an excellent form of exercise. It strengthens and tones the body without stressing knees and ankles. More important to building a healthy immune system it circulates lymph in the body better than any known exercise.

Rebounding was researched and reviewed by NASA as a superior method of exercising to condition returning astronauts. The astronauts had been in zero gravity for extended periods of time and their bodies had become weakened. The research found that the body while bouncing 6 inches on a trampoline cannot differentiate between weight training and the gravitational force it experienced when rebounding. In other words the body benefited from bouncing as though it had been weight training.

How Rebounding Helps Circulation in the Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system consists of many valves which restrict the flow of the lymph fluid to one direction only. This system is without a pump, unlike the circulatory system with the heart. Body movement through activity is the general method that the lymph is moved through these valves. The lymph must move to deliver oxygen and carry away toxins for elimination. failure to do so results in toxins remaining in the system, tissues and cells. These toxins poison the cells along with the nutrient deprivation this state creates. These are contributing factors for cellular aging and disease which contribute to Morgellons outbreaks within the body. It is recommended to maintain a healthy immune system through movement of the lymph.

For therapeutic purposes we will narrow it down to two methods. The first is lymphatic massage. Lymphatic massage, dry skin brushing and even deep breathing are the non-kinetic methods of moving lymph. However this service may not be easily available and during certain phases of Morgellons is not advisable because of possible communicable reasons. I have found that a gentle and easy exercise like Rebounding has tremendous effects towards circulating the lymph and maintaining a healthy immune system.

Any form of exercise will help circulate this fluid. However, Rebounding has the most effect in circulating lymph. The up and down rhythmic bouncing causes all of the one-way valves to open and close simultaneously, increasing lymph flow as much as 15 times. Rebounding is a highly beneficial form of exercise.

Rebounding For Detoxification And Immune System Benefits

The gentle motion of rebounding plays a role in good health for other systems of the body as well. It is stimulating and strengthening to many organ systems and helps to circulate other fluids such as the spinal fluid.  All cells in the body are also strengthened in response to the increased “G force” during rebounding. This results in certain immune system cells such as T-cells becoming more active. These results all lead to a stronger immune system that is able to function optimally in cleansing the body of toxins.

Mini-trampolines are inexpensive and can be found online or at many department stores.

The Mini-Trampoline and Safety

When first starting an exercise program with the mini-trampoline there are some general guidelines concerning safety. Initially one should use what is called the health bounce. In this exercise the feet do not break contact with the surface of the trampoline. The health bounce will reap all the benefits of rebounding while gently strengthening the entire body. The health bounce can be done while talking on the phone, listening to podcasts on one’s  ipod or watching TV. It is recommended that one does rebounding with bare feet so as not to slip.

Healthy adults can begin this program with 5 minute intervals and increase these as they strengthen their bodies. Older people may start the program in two-minute intervals with at least thirty minute breaks between. Gradually increasing the time spent rebounding allows the connective tissue holding the internal organs in place time to strengthen. Every muscle group in the body will respond to this form of exercise. Once a certain comfort level with balance and endurance is felt, rebounding beyond the health bounce can be undertaken. The body experiences  about one G force at the height of 6 inch bounces. Intervals spent rebounding can be lengthened to fifteen minutes up to an hour or more with conditioning. Rebounding will strengthen the body and the immune system.

Other Excellent Exercises

Rebounding is superior for moving lymph and helping with cleanses but these exercises are excellent and will assist in good health.

  • Brisk Walks
  • Yoga
  • Swimming
  • Biking

I have recently discovered that it is easy to make the text size of a post LARGER by simply hitting "Ctrl +" on one's keyboard. Also "Ctrl -" will make the text smaller.
