Colon Cleanses

Order of Cleanses

In the process of detoxing the body one should cleanse in this order…

  1. Colon Cleanses  C.A.D. or M.D.C. or similar colon cleanse.
  2. Kidney Cleanses
  3. Parasite Cleanses
  4. Liver Cleanses
  5. Blood Cleanses

This will ensure that detoxing one organ system will not overburden the others. The Candida Albicans Detox (C.A.D.) or Mucoid Dissolve Cleanse (M.D.C.) or a similar colon cleanse will clear the gastrointestinal tract. This will allow the elimination of toxins and waste through the cleansed systems when undertaking the subsequent cleanses, ie Kidney Detox, Liver Detox and finally the blood detox. The Kidney, Liver and Blood Cleanses are relatively short detoxes that are often  just a “fast” one day a week that can be built up to an extended three-day period.

These fasts or cleanses should be taken in the proper order when the body has adjusted to the probable ongoing C.A.D. or M.D.C. cleanse. Fasts and cleanses may lead to the body releasing built up toxins and result in a die off or herxheimer reaction. This is why the detox order should be followed. The body’s systems should be cleared in a progressive order to ensure that it can eliminate these released toxins. Fasts and cleanses should become a part of one’s routine taken fairly often. Once a week or bi-weekly rotated out through the schedule of cleanses and detoxes mentioned above.

Biofilms Within Gastrointestinal Tract

Biofilms are very important when discussing the health of the immune system as affected by the colon. A healthy, strong functioning colon is essential to maintaining good health. In many sufferers of candida and parasitical infections the gastrointestinal tract is host to sessile (biofilm) bacteria. These pathogenic communities are mucosal associated populations that exist in a protected environment of a continually secretion of mucus within the gastrointestinal tract. Their presence is a factor in ill-health, malnutrition and pathogenic disease. Antibiotics are ineffective against the bacteria and pathogens within the biofilm and which may actually become immune to future use of those antibiotics. This may also lead to a weakened immune system.

Healthy Gastrointestinal Tract

The gastrointestinal tract plays a huge role in the overall health of the body. In addition to digestion and assimilation of nutrients in food it eliminates waste and toxins from the body. In a healthy gastrointestinal tract these processes are not impaired and the body functions optimally. A diet high in fiber and low in animal protein assists in sweeping or cleaning the colon on a regular basis. A healthy body has two or more bowel movements in a 24 hour period. Unhealthy diets, sedentary lifestyles and poor digestion may lead to less frequent bowel movements. This may be accompanied by a putrid biofilm of mucous and undigested matter lining the intestinal wall. These factors increase the possibility of  less frequent bowel movements. All of these issues combine to weaken the bodies immune system which in turn weakens the whole body.

Toxic Colon

A sluggish bowel and infrequent bowel movements can lead to poisoning the bloodstream. This happens when waste is not quickly eliminated in the colon and many of the toxins enter through the bowel wall. There they are circulated by the blood to the various parts of the body. These distributed toxins can build up in organs and tissues causing ill-health. The weakest organs are often the site of the most accumulation of these toxins.

If other filtration/elimination systems and organs are weakened the whole body experiences a decline in good health. Digestion becomes even less effective which leads to more toxicity. This spiral of ill-health may feed upon itself and rapidly overtake the immune system. The body may enter the degenerative-disease stage. At this time toxins have overrun one or more parts of the body and a detox program should be considered.

Detoxing (Candida Albicans Detox & Mucoid Dissolving Cleanse)

To begin treating the topical aspects of Morgellons without treating the internal aspects is unwise. One may achieve a semblance of well-being outwardly but in reality a tipping point of illness may be developing. The Candida Albicans Detox and the Mucoid Dissolving Cleanse both target the biofilm, bacteria, viruses and pathogens and are effective colon cleanses. Both of these detoxes are involved and take a steady commitment to one’s health. The C.A.D. is perhaps the easier of the two and both quickly become part of one’s daily regimen. They are lengthy in duration, almost more a permanent addition to one’s daily routine. The initial duration of the C.A.D. is 10 -12 months and one will continue to reap health benefits with an occasional revisit to this protocol. The immune system will function in an optimal manner and even nutrition may be improved through better absorption.

Alternative Colon Detox Recipes

 Dietary Changes

Switching to a Raw Food Diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables will increase one’s intake of fiber. These foods are especially rich in fiber. Dietary fiber is crucial to the cleaning and maintaining of good colon health. Fiber will soften stools and it’s action ‘sweeps’ the inside of the colon cleaning mucous and waste from the colon walls.

  • Oats
  • Rice Beans
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts & Seeds

Probiotics

When detoxing one should add supplemental probiotics like Lactobacillus Acidophilis and Bifidobacteria. These “good” bacteria flourish in the G.I. tract and their presence  inhibits yeast. They are part of the Good Flora that the gastrointestinal tract needs to function well. Sometimes during a detox or the use of antibiotics these flora become very low in count. Probiotics will introduce and re-establish a healthy growth of these beneficial bacteria.

 Juice Fasts

Juice fasts are a healthy way to maintain good colon health. These fasts are very short, often only lasting a day or two. The idea is to allow the gastrointestinal tract a small break from the constant bombardment of food. During this break one may take fresh juice detoxes to allow for the breaking up of mucous and the cleansing of the bowel.

Juice Fast Recipes

Wheatgrass Juice

Fresh wheatgrass juice is an extremely strong juice that detoxifies the liver, purifies the blood and helps the body protect itself against aging and disease.

You can usually find it at any juice bar (if you live near one), buy small pallets of it to juice at home or grow your own and juice it. Make sure that the juicer you own or are planning to buy can juice wheatgrass.

Citrus Super Drink

An extremely delicious way to get a lot of flavonoids and vitamin C is to juice:

  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 1 Lemon

The proportions of different fruits can be changed to taste. Consider adding a teaspoon of supplements like spirulina, chlorella or flaxseed oil.

Home-made Green Drink

An excellent source of chlorophyll and other nutrients.

  • Celery
  • Wheatgrass
  • Cabbage
  • Spinach
  • Cucumber
  • Spirulina Powder
  • Touch of raw honey (Manuka honey if possible)

Juice all of the greens and then add spirulina powder. The spirulina can also be changed for chlorella.

Pineapple Express

This is a great detox recipe and it is very sweet. It contains plenty of vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

  • 1 whole pineapple (organic only for bromelain content)
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 carrot
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

This recipe will yield a large quantity of juice. Juice fruit and drink a serving. Refrigerate the rest for drinking later.

Water

Filtered water is extremely important in a healthy gastrointestinal tract to maintain proper hydration. Water should be purified or filtered as most drinking water is contaminated with toxins, chemicals and pathogens. Proper hydration is about 1/2 ounce of water per pound of one’s weight per day.

Concerning Yeast Infections in the G.I Tract

Candida Albicans overgrowth may run rampant and become systemic in the body. Gastrointestinal cleanses that target this infection will help along with changes to the diet. Yeast feeds on sugars, alcohol and carbohydrates so eliminating these foods from one’s diet will be beneficial. See the post Candida Albicans Detox (C.A.D.) for a treatment that cleanses the colon and helps eradicate this serious condition. The use of enzymes internally may also assist aiding this condition. There are many enzyme supplements that one may buy at a health store or online. Enzymes for comsumption may also be made from these Home-made Enzyme Recipes. Commercially bought enzymes such as Kleengreen, Ecovie, Out!, Bug Arrest and Digest-Plus ARE NOT MEANT for human consumption. For an excellent source of information concerning combating yeast infections with internal enzymes (including suppliers) go to Enzymestuff.com.
